Prophetic Theme: WHO IS ON THE LORD’S SIDE – Exo. 32:26

Teaching Series: WHO IS ON THE LORD’S SIDE Exo. 32:26 

Introduction: 

    • Spirituality is the Custodian of every Great Destiny in the Kingdom – Psa. 11:3/ 1 Cor. 3:12/                                     2 Tim. 2:19-21
    • No believer’s life can be more fulfilling than he is spiritual – 1 Tim. 4:7-8
    • No one can flourish in hard times than he is spiritual – Psa. 33:18-19/ Psa. 37:18-19/ 3 Jhn 2
    • Spirituality is simply living by the Word, that is, saying yes to all that the Word says yes to and no to whatever the Word says no to – Jhn 5:22-30/ Deut. 5:32-33/ Luk. 6:46
  • Godliness is the only biblical guarantee to securing one’s place in eternity – 1 Cor. 9:6-11/                              2 Cor. 6:17-18 

Week 1 (Sunday 7th Jan. 2024): WHO IS ON THE LORD’S SIDE – Part 1

    • Being on God’s side is a kind of heaven on earth experience, because heaven is the throne of God – Isa. 66:1/ Eph. 2:6/ Eph. 1:21-22
    • Note that there are no defeats in heaven no matter how bitter the battle – Psa. 24:7-8/ Rev. 12:7-12 
  • Adam and Eve were living wonders in the garden of Eden until they lost face with God through sin and were driven out of the garden into the wilderness – Gen. 2:15-17/ Gen. 3:1-10/24
  • Abraham remained on God’s side for a hundred years and he lived as it were in a kind of garden of Eden all through – Gen. 22:1-18/ Gen. 25:7-8/ Isa. 51:1-3/ Gal. 3:13-14/29

How to Remain on God’s side 

  • Beware of lusting after evil things – 1 Cor. 10:6/ Jam. 1:13-15
  • Beware of idolatry – Exo. 32:26-28/ Exo. 20:4-5/ 1 Cor. 10:7
  • But righteousness consciousness, an undying crave for sanctification and continuous exercise unto godliness are fundamental requirements for remaining on God’s side and making it to heaven at the end of the day – 2 Cor. 5:21/ 2 Tim 2:19-21/ 1 Tim. 4:7-8

Dangers of not Being on God’s Side

  • Blocks access to answered prayers – Psa. 66:18/ Isa. 59:1-2
  • Blocks access to revelation – Psa. 25:14/ Gen. 41:38-44/ Gen. 42:18
  • Dethrones a believer as in the case of king Saul – 1 Sam. 15:23

But to be restored when one misses it is to genuinely repent of one’s sin – 2 Cor. 7:1/10-11

Week 2 (Sunday 14th Jan. 2024): WHO IS ON THE LORD’S SIDE – Part 2

    • God’s side is the ever-winning side, the laughter side of life – Isa. 64:1-3/ Psa. 2:1-8/ 2 Cor. 2:14
    • Because God is light, being on His side dispels all the works of darkness – Jhn 1:1-5/9/ Luk. 22:53/ 1 Jhn 1:5
    • Moses a most renowned prophet of all times remained on God’s side and was made a God unto Pharaoh while he dominated Egypt supernaturally–Exo. 3:7-10/ Exo. 7:1/ Deut. 34:7/10-12
  • Nehemiah a cupbearer, turned governor by getting on God’s side– Neh. 1:1-14/ Neh. 2:1-9/ Neh. 5:14

How to Remain on God’s side 

  • Stay in love and keep your love for God growing – 1 Jhn. 4:16-18(17)/ Eph. 3:17-19/ Rom. 8:28
  • Beware of disobedience – 1 Sam. 15:22-23/ Act. 13:21
  • Beware of sexual perversion – 1 Kgs 11:1-11/14/23/ 1 Cor. 10:8
  • But righteousness consciousness, an undying crave for sanctification and continuous exercise unto godliness are fundamental requirements for remaining on God’s side and making it to heaven at the end of the day – 2 Cor. 5:21/ 2 Tim 2:19-21/ 1 Tim. 4:7-8

Dangers of not Being on God’s Side

  • Blocks access to wisdom that enthrones – Psa. 111:10/ pro. 8:15/ Dan. 1:8/ Dan. 2:16-30
  • Causes Faith to fail – 1 Tim. 1:19/ 2 Tim. 4:1-2/ Act. 14:8-11
  • Inflicts incurable diseases as in the case of king Asa – 2 Chr. 16:10-13

But repentance is the mystery of godliness that is able to rescue anyone from the dungeon of sin            – Ezk. 18:20-24/2 Cor. 7:1/10-11

Week 3 (Sunday 21st Jan. 2024): WHO IS ON THE LORD’S SIDE – Part 3

  • Being on God’s side is the strong tower of believers – Psa. 91:1-16/ Pro. 18:10
  • When Israel got on God’s side in Egypt, God came down and brought them out of 400 years of bondage – Exo. 3:7-10/ Exo. 12:42
  • God brought them in to favour – Exo. 3:21/ Exo. 12:36
  • God in their midst turned them into living wonder among men – Psa. 114:1-7/ Exo. 16:4/8/35/                Exo. 13:21-22
  • Gideon became a one-man army of Israel by being on God’s side – Judg. 6:1-16/                                    Jugd. 7:1-17

How to remain on God’s side 

  • Beware of pride – 2 Chr. 26:15-21/ Jam. 4:6/10/ 1 Pet. 5:6
  • Beware of covetousness – Luk. 12:15/ Josh. 7:19-26/ 1Tim. 6:6-10
  • Continue to walk by faith – 2 Cor. 5:7/ 1 Cor. 4:7/ Eph. 6:16/ Heb. 11:11-17/24-29/33-34
  • But righteousness consciousness, an undying crave for sanctification and continuous exercise unto godliness are fundamental requirements for remaining on God’s side and making it to heaven at the end of the day – 2 Cor. 5:21/ 2 Tim 2:19-21/ 1 Tim. 4:7-8

Dangers of not Being on God’s Side

  • Blocks access to the giving grace that brings men into financial fortune – Isa. 66:1-3/ Rom. 6:1/                           2 Cor. 8:1-7
  • Blocks access to divine favour – Psa. 5:12/ Psa. 45:6-12/ Luk. 2:52
  • Embattled life as in the case of king Solomon – 1 Kgs 11: 4/23/

But repentance is a non-negotiable requirement to experiencing forgiveness from God
– 1 Jhn 1:8-10/ 2 Cor. 7:1/10-11

Week 4 (Sunday 28th Jan. 2024): WHO IS ON THE LORD’S SIDE – Part 4

  • Being on God’s side makes a believer more than a conqueror – Rom. 8:28/31/35-38.
  • Being on God’s side simply means walking in the fear of God and by the dictates of scriptures, which keep believers on the flourishing side for life – Amos 3:3/ Psa. 23:1-6/ Psa. 37:18-19
  • Peter, the leading apostle of Christ chose to be on God’s side for life and became a wonder to his world, we saw his shadow healing the sick and setting the oppressed free – Luk. 5:1-8/11/                           Mat. 16:17-18/ Act. 5:15-18
  • Paul, a giant of giants in the gospel lived under a vow to remain on God’s side till his very old age he was an apostle of special miracles, who also wrote about half of the New Testament                                        – 1 Cor. 9:16-17/ Act. 19:8-12/14-20/ Phm. 1:9

How to get and remain on God’s side 

  • Beware of nonchalant attitudes to God and His Word – 1 Sam. 3:18/ Mat. 12:42-43
  • Beware of tempting God through complaining and murmuring – Num. 21:1/ 1 Cor. 10:8/10/ Job. 9:4
  • Maintain a quality covenant walk with God – Dan. 11:32/ Jam. 2:18-24
  • But righteousness consciousness, an undying crave for sanctification and continuous exercise unto godliness are fundamental requirements for remaining on God’s side and making it to heaven at the end of the day – 2 Cor. 5:21/ 2 Tim 2:19-21/ 1 Tim. 4:7-8

Dangers of not Being on God’s Side

  • Blocks access to help in times of trouble – Isa. 38:1-5/ Psa. 33:18-19
  • Destruction of one’s generations as in the case of Eli and Achan – 1 Sam. 2:30-36/ Josh. 7:16-26
  • Blocks access to eternity with Christ – 1 Cor. 6:9-11/ Rev. 21:8/ Mat. 7:12-23 

Our calling notwithstanding, anyone that is too big to repent will not qualify for forgiveness as in the case of prophet Eli – 1 Sam. 3:18/ 2 Cor. 7:1/10-11
