Week 3
Introduction:
- Every believer is ordained to bear fruits, i.e. to win souls – Jhn. 15:1-2
John 15:1-2
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
- We are not only called to bear fruits; we are also called to ensure that our fruits abide – Jhn 15:16
John 15:16
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
- We must therefore be committed to every scriptural instruction to avoid wasted labour – Mat. 12:30/ Dan. 12:3

30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
Therefore, our exhortation for this week is “Why Must WE Be Committed to Ingathering of Souls into Church”
Monday
Why Must we be Committed to the ingathering of souls into Church?
- For the Establishment in the Faith of our New Converts – Psa. 87:7/ Eph. 4:13-14

7 As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
- God satisfies believers with the goodness of His house (the Church) – Psa. 65:4/ Psa. 132:13-15

4 Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.

13 For the Lord hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation. 14 This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it. 15 I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.
- Until the farm produce gets to the storehouse, the farmer is not entitled to his pay – Jhn 4:35-36

35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. 36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
- The endtime church is the city of refuge for the redeemed – Josh. 20:2/ Heb. 12:20-24

Tuesday
Why Must we be Committed to the ingathering of souls into Church?
- For the Sanctification of our New Converts and Members – Heb. 3:13

13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
- For the deliverance of New Converts from all ungodly, age-long habits – Obd. 17/ Heb. 10:25.

17 But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
- The Church is the cleansing center for God’s people – Jhn 15:3/ Eph. 5:25-26

- Sanctification is required for taking delivery of our inheritance in Christ – Act 20:32/ 2 Pet. 1:3

32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Wednesday
Why Must we be Committed to the ingathering of souls into Church?
- For the Preservation of our New Converts – Jhn 15:16

16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
- The church is the appointed spiritual home for every believer – Luk. 15:3-7/ Eph. 2:19

3 And he spake this parable unto them, saying, 4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? 5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. 7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
- The church is ordained for a covering for our new converts against all assaults of the wicked one – 2 Sam. 7:10/ Psa. 91:1-5

10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
- The redeemed must be planted in the Church to secure their glorious destiny – Rom. 8:29-30/ Psa. 92:12-15

12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13 Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; 15 To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
Thursday
Why Must we be Committed to the ingathering of souls into Church?
- For Spiritual Growth and Development of our New Converts – Rom. 10:17

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
- The church is the spiritual center where we grow from strength to strength – Psa. 84:7/ Heb. 12:22-24

7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

- God-ordained shepherds that feed the flock are located in the Church – Jer. 3:15-16/ Act. 20:28

15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. 16 And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the Lord, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the Lord: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.

28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
- The Church is the center for spiritual illumination that transforms the lives of believers – Psa. 73:17/ 2 Cor. 3:18

18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Why Must we be Committed to the ingathering of souls into Church?
- For the realization of the Inheritance of our New Converts – 2 Pet. 1:3

3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
- The church is the altar of revelation that empowers believers to take delivery of their inheritance – Mat. 11:28-29/ Act. 20:32

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

- God opens our eyes of understanding through the ministry of teaching priests in Church – 2 Chr. 15:3-5/ Isa. 30:20-21

3 Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law. 4 But when they in their trouble did turn unto the Lord God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them. 5 And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.
Isa 30:20-21
20 And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: 21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
- The Church is where the blessings of redemption are distributed – Psa. 65:4/ Psa. 132:13-15

Saturday
Why Must we be Committed to the ingathering of souls into Church?
- To avoid wasted labour – 1 Thes. 3:5

5 For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
- Until our fruits abide, our rewards cannot be fully delivered – Jhn. 15:16/ Jhn. 4:35-36

- We must engage the wisdom of ingathering to take over our harvest field – Ecc. 10:15/ Ecc. 9:14-18

15 The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.

14 There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it: 15 Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man. 16 Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard. 17 The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools. 18 Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.
- Tireless commitment to ingathering of souls will make a star of any believer – Pro. 11:30/ Dan. 12:3
