TOPIC: WHY IS MAN THE LAST OF GOD’S CREATION?
Scripture: Genesis 1: 26. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! Yesterday we made an introduction that says man is the crown of God’s creation!
And is going to be our theme all through the month of May! Today we intend to answer the question why is man the last on the list of God’s creations.
To profer answer to this question for today the Bible is going to be our authority ! When we look at account of creation man is the last as he was made on the sixth day (Gen.1:26-31), and on the seventh day God rested! The reason why God choose to make man the last on the list of His of His creations agenda can be deduce from the account of creation:
Genesis 1: 26. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
From the above scripture, we could deduce the following reasons:
1. God intended to make a man that will be in charge of His creations on earth. And this was exactly what He has done for us. The Bible said:
Psalm 115: 16. The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
So, I’m in charge here, God has given us the earth to be in charge. We should be able to decide what happened here on earth.
2. God made man last so that He can transfer His authority to the man. God needed personality that will represent Him here on earth this is seen in:
Gen. 1:26……and let them have dominion….
Another important reason why God made man last was, .because He wanted the man He had made to exist in a world of comfort! This explains why he created a garden for the man:
Genesis 2: 8. And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
Beloved, man was not made just to roam the earth, he was made give God pleasure, to give God glory (Rev.4:11).
Think about it for a while, a world without the sun, moon and stars. Think about a world without the beautiful sky or a world without land that is full of water or a world of darkness! No wonder the Psamist exclaimed:
Psalm 19: 1. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
He now went further to say:
Psalm 8: 3. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
Beloved, this is to let you know that by God’s original design man was not created for discomfort, pains , sickness and diseases or afflictions.
Neither was he made just to hustle! God took His time to make man and made him the crown of His creation. And that was why he made him last on the list of His creations. Man is the icing sugar of God’s creation, a signature of His handiwork.
This is why God took special attention to make man. The Bible said:
Psalm 139: 14. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
Beloved, God expect you to praise Him because you were fearfully designed! The only creature that is tripartite with intelligence, moral codes, emotion etc! Man is indeed fearfully and wonderfully made.
What is it that made man a wonder amongst God’s creation?
1. His composition: Amongst God’s creations man is the only one that is tripartite! That is he is a spirit that has a soul and lives in the body.
1 Thessalonians 5: 23. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
So man exist as a spirit that was given a body to become human called man! This is because according to the law of territory you need a body that is compatible to your territory to operate in that territory.
That’s not all,man also has a soul for the Bible said:
Genesis 2: 7. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
The soul realm is what psychologist have tried frantically to study yet were kept in amazement of some spiritual behaviour that man exhibit!
Remember this: Heaven is real and hell is real! The decision of where to spend eternity with God is best made now. Give your heart to Jesus today.

– Father thank you for your word to me today.
– Father help me to know why you kept me here on earth so as to fulfill your purpose for my existence in Jesus name.

– I prophesy the month of May, you will experience miracles in the name of Jesus
– Received grace to be a blessing to your world in the name of Jesus.
