Habakkuk 2:3 KJV
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Have you ever been in a situation where you feel or think God has forgotten you or abandoned you? Has anyone told you your case is impossible?
You look back at prophecies yet unfulfilled and promises from the word of God that has not come to pass in your life, then you begin to say to yourself, it seems God has forgotten me…
Dearly beloved, I want you to know that God has not forgotten you, he has everyone of us in mind.
Matthew 6:26 KJV
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Never allow the devil sow evil thoughts into your mind, the devil can make you think God is against you in order to win you over to himself (the devil) and mind you, the devil has nothing to offer to you, he would rather take from you.
Joseph is a good example of someone who seemed like God had forgotten. God had already shown him vision about his future but the happenings around his life didn’t look like the bright future he was expecting. He was hated by his brothers, sold to a strange land, lived as a slave, lied against, thrown into the prison and yet this is someone who had a dream that his brethren bowed down to him.
But then, God was through this circumstances taking him closer to his promised land gradually. Even though it looks as if it won’t come to pass or it’s taking longer time to be fulfilled, wait on God. His time is the best, if you try to run things on your own, you will either prolong your breakthrough or cut it short.
But in Genesis 41:38-44, Joseph’s time came to be announced to his world, his breakthrough came.
When the devil is trying to make you think God has forgotten you it’s not a time for you to allow the thoughts sink into you to weigh you down, you should rather pray to God, reminding him of his promises concerning you (of course he has not forgotten), sing psalms and hymns and make melody in your heart to the lord.
Ephesians 5:19 KJV
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Worry cannot solve your problem, it will only add more to it,
Isaiah 61:3 tells us that the garment of praise helps to get rid of the spirit of heaviness. Worry brings the Spirit of heaviness upon a man.
When it seems like God has forgotten you give thanks.
Thanksgiving makes God step into your circumstances very quickly, you are simply telling him I believe you are capable of handling my circumstances so I leave it to you to take charge. No doubt God will arise and step in because he has seen how much you trust in him
