Wealth and Prosperity

 

Wealth can be defined as the state of having an abundance of valuable possessions or money.

Prosperity is the state of being prosperous, successful or having good fortune.

Wealth and Prosperity are two words we often relate to the state of having a lot of money.

 Most times these two words can be and are used interchangeably in certain occasions but there is a fundamental difference between wealth and prosperity.

The main difference between wealth and prosperity lies in the meaning connoted by these two words; wealth can be defined as the state of having an abundance of valuable possessions or money whereas prosperity is the state of being prosperous, successful or having good fortune.

 

Wealth

According to the Oxford dictionary, the meaning of wealth is described as material prosperity. Thus, it can be said that though these two words are interconnected, wealth is only a certain aspect of prosperity

Wealth can be considered as material gain because it is the abundance of money or value assets. 

Being wealthy means having a lot of money and property.

 

Prosperity

Prosperity in my way can be defined as the abundance of every good thing. Prosperity is the abundance of both health and wealth; it is the abundance of material possessions, money as well as other factors happiness, good home, wonderful marriage life, good office work, blessed children, excellent result in everything, etc. you name, it is prosperity. 

Prosperity can be equal to having a good fortune. A prosperous person not only has a lot of money, and property, but he also has a lot of friends, family and stays healthy.

When people wish others prosperity during birthdays, new years, etc. it is not just for the abundance of money but for an all round blessing.

Prosperity is also defined as economic well-being. Nevertheless, it also indicates the state of being successful, thriving and flourishing.

        Difference between Wealth and Prosperity 

When talking about the origins of this word, the origins can be traced back to Latin prosperare meaning cause to succeed or render happy. The origins of the word also have a connection to fortune.

 

Wealth refers to the state of being rich or having an abundance of material assets and money.

 

Prosperity refers to the state of having an abundance of material assets and money as well as other contributing factors like health and happiness.

We should not mistake wealth for prosperity because an aspect of a thing is not that thing. Wealth is only an aspect or a kind of prosperity.

Wealthy is originated from wealth and prosperity is derived from prosperous

Wealth is a kind of prosperity  while prosperity comprises wealth and lots of other factors.
