Our twelve pillars connote the Scriptural structure upon which the Liberation Mandate is built. These pillars form our teaching syllabus as church and constitute our doctrinal platform. Because they are twelve in number, each pillar is selected as the focus for each month of the year.
We have stood firm upon these twelve stones and they have resulted in breakthroughs – both for the ministry and all that are partakers of the same grace with us. We have crossed Jordan into power, bearing the ark of liberation and have experienced amazing testimonies ever since this commission was handed down in May, 1981.
Our 12 Pillars are as follows:
Here are the 12 stones, after the order of Joshua 4:1-8, 20-24;
- Faith (1 John 5:4; Eph. 6:16): The cornerstone of the ministry’s beliefs, emphasizing the importance of unwavering faith.
- The Word (John 1:1-12; Heb. 1:3): Centered around the teachings and wisdom found in the Scriptures, underscoring the transformative power of God’s Word.
- Signs and Wonders (Ps. 82:5-7; John 3:8): Acknowledging the miraculous and supernatural manifestations as integral aspects of the ministry’s spiritual journey.
- The Holy Spirit (Acts 1:1-8; Isaiah 10:27): A reliance on the guidance and empowerment of the Holy Spirit in carrying out the ministry’s mission.
- Prosperity (3 John 2; Ps. 35:27; Zech. 1:17): Believing in divine prosperity as a reflection of God’s favor and abundance.
- Prayer (1 John 5:14): Emphasizing the significance of prayer as a means of communication and communion with the divine.
- Healing (Isaiah 53:3-4; Jer. 8:22; Matt. 8:17): Recognizing the healing power of God and its manifestation in both physical and spiritual restoration.
- Wisdom (Prov. 24:3-4, Isaiah 33:6): Valuing the pursuit of wisdom as a key element in navigating life’s challenges.
- Success (Joshua 1:8-10): Drawing inspiration from biblical principles for achieving success in various aspects of life.
- Vision (Prov. 29:18, Jer. 29:11): Focusing on the importance of vision and purpose, guided by God’s divine plan.
- Consecration (Hebrews 12:14; 2Tim. 2:19): Highlighting the significance of consecration and holiness in the ministry’s practices.
- Praise (2 Chro. 20:20-22; Ps. 67:1-7; 149:1-9): Engaging in worship and praise as expressions of gratitude and reverence.
The commission, established in 1999 with Shiloh as its inception, follows yearly themes and monthly prophetic focuses. Led by President Bishop David Oyedeopo and Vice President Bishop David Abioye, the ministry extends its impact beyond Nigeria, providing scholarships to numerous individuals.
Pastor David Oyedepo Junior currently serves as the Resident Pastor of Faith Tabernacle. The commission’s reach extends globally with over 5000 churches planted in Nigeria and more than 1000 worldwide. Faith Tabernacle hosts five services, attracting an average attendance of over 300,000 individuals, making it a vibrant hub of spiritual growth and community.
