TOPIC : UNDERSTANDING PURPOSE
SCRIPTURE : Colossians 1: 16. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! Yesterday, we did introduce to us that the purpose of a thing is the original intention behind the making of that thing. If you want to find out the purpose of a chair ask the furniture man that designed it. If you want to find out the purpose of a ask the car manufacturer! So also if you want to the purpose of a man ask His Creator.
Today, we seek to understand purpose by answering the questions; why was I created and why am I born? Why am I existing in a planet called earth.
Now, we can answer the questions by consulting our manufacturer manual which is the Bible!
The Bible being the oldest book present us answers such as
Why were you created? What is the reason for your being born? Etc
We understand from the Bible that God is our creator! :

In answering the questions , we can deduce from the above scripture that you were created for a purpose!
For what purpose? God’s purpose! So, you were created by God and also for God. You were not created for your self! You were not created just to marry and produce children! You were not created just to make money!
You were not created for statistics or just to make up a number! You were not created for your family alone! You were not created for the purpose of acquiring property! But you were created for God and nothing else!
Beloved, the Holy Ghost is saying you were created on purpose! You are not a product of biological accident!
You were planned by God before you were born. It is when this plan is unfolded to you that it becomes vision! Your parent might not have planned for your coming to life but your creator did planned for you!
_Jeremiah 29:11:For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.(NIV)._
Please note that God didn’t create you and then begin to think of what to do with your life. He created you with deliberate intention that is why no body can ever be you! You are unique in your your own way. There is no body else that have your fingers print! Your family and community you were born into was carefully chosen by God. So, stop abusing your place of origin!
Your height, size, skin colour and sex were planned by God. So stop wishing to be some one else! If you you are tall or short thank God for it, if you are light or dark in complexion thank God for it. Whatever you are is for God who has made you so!
So why were you created?
You were created for God’s purpose which are:
1. To give God pleasure
Revelation 4: 11. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Do you know were born to give God pleasure? To those of us who know this already, how has your life give God pleasure? It is not enough to know, rather, it is in doing !
Assignment :kindly review how your life has been giving God pleasure and seek for ways of improving on it.
Remember this : Heaven is real and hell is real. To reject Jesus is to sign up for eternal damnation in hell
Prayer points :
– Father thank you for your word to me today!
-Thank you for making me to realized the reason for my existence.
– Father, I vow to give you pleasure with the rest of my life in Jesus name.
Prophetic Declaration :
– I prophesy in this month of February, the heaven over your head shall be open!
– No evil will catch up with you this month in the name of Jesus..
– May the LORD bless and keep you, cause His face to shine upon you in Jesus name.
