TOPIC: TRIUMPHANT ENTRY INTO JERUSALEM
Scripture: Matthew 21: 9. And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! The story of redemption had it that Jesus must died on the cross as we established previously! So there were several steps Jesus took to make His way to the cross. We shall begin to examine each of those steps in turn. Today, we shall be looking at the first step which is triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
Triumphant entry into Jerusalem is the first step to the cross! Triumphant entry is what believers celebrate as Palm Sunday. It is a time when Jesus rode triumphantly on an ass into Jerusalem. And the people sang His praise as He rode triumphantly into Jerusalem.
The Bible said:
Matthew 21: 9. And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
*What are the significance of triumphant entry?*
1. Your destiny is location dependent: If Jesus must fulfil the destiny of redemption of mankind, it must be in Jerusalem! Jerusalem is the only place where He would be accused and condemned to death! Jerusalem is where the cross for crucifixion is, and if He must died on the cross then He needs to be in Jerusalem, hence the need to travel into Jerusalem!
Beloved, your own Jerusalem is that location God has ordain for the fulfilment of your life purpose!. If your destiny must shine, it must be in your location assigned to you by God. If you are sent for any assignments on earth, there is a location for the fulfilment of your life’s mission. Every sent man has a sent word to a group of person, hence the assigned location for the fulfilment of Destiny. Abraham couldn’t fulfil assignments in Hurr of Chaldeans, hence God has to call him out (Gen.12:1)! You can live and died in a location without fulfilling your purpose in life because you are in the wrong location.
2. The ass Jesus rode on, He knew exactly where to find the ass and requested for it(Mrk.11:2); Jesus knew the exact location where to get what He wanted and as such send His disciples there to go and untie the ass and bring it for Him. The question is who tied the colt/ass and while did they tie it at road junction? I leave that for your imagination!
Beloved, nothing takes God unaware, every thing around your life is open to Him, He knows the exact solution to the problem of your life. He knows what you are passing through right now and He knows the way out, so hold on to Him.
Just like Jesus sent the disciples to untie the colt/ass, I’m glad to let you know that I’m sent too! To untie every Destiny, tied down by Satan! You too you are sent to untie souls by winning them for Jesus. As many you could reach out to, please do, by so doing you are untying the lives the devil has tied! Go out for soul winning and untie that souls for Jesus.
Meanwhile, I stand under grace to declare to you today, wherever you are tied, I declare you loose in the name of Jesus! Every tied, womb, I loose you now in the name of Jesus, every tied business, I loose you now, every tied marriage I untie, every tie career I untie, every tie finance I untie in the name of Jesus. What ever is tied down in your life I loose by the anointing of the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus.
Do you know as long as that Colt/ass remains tied, motion is arrested? What ever bring stagnation into your life is broken right now in the name of Jesus. I speak progress now in the name of Jesus!
3. Jesus did not enter Jerusalem secretly, He entered triumphantly because it has been prophesied:
Zechariah 9: 9. Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
Beloved, life is prophetic! There are those who have never enter into the prophecy of their lives, and some will remain like that till they die. Some the prophecy over their heads is being aborted with their own hands under satanic manipulation. In this season of prophetic triumphant entry, it is time to contend against every forces, that is delaying the fulfilment of the prophecy over your life.
Redemption delivered to you what the devil has stolen! Rise up today and declare enough is enough! This delay is over, by the power of redemption I must walk into the prophecy that is hanging over my life. I refuse to remain like this anymore. Go ahead and contend for your life’s prophecy
4. They sang his praise(Matt.21:9): While Jesus rode triumphantly, some spread their garments on the road and some palm leaves. And the sang Hosanna in the highest. The lesson here is that as we remain humble, Jesus will be glorified in our lives. May the Lord clothe you with humility in Jesus name.
Remember this : Heaven is real and hell is real! The matter of where to spend eternity depends on the choice you made now, give Jesus your heart today.
Prayer points:
– Father thank you for your word to me today.
– Lord, I received the prophecy over my life and destiny now in Jesus name.
Prophetic Declaration:
– I declare the yoke of delay is broken right now in the name of Jesus.
– May you encounter the sent man with the requisite grace that will unlock your destiny this season in the name of Jesus.
Assignment: Check your life, are you fulfilling the destiny where you are right now? If no, you need to ask God for directions or a change of location.
