TOPIC; THE WAY OF COVENANT AS PATHWAY TO THE BLESSING
Scripture: Ecclesiastes 5: 5. Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.
Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! Covenants are pathways to connecting with the blessing! Previously, we have considered covenant between human and the devil and as well between human and God. Today, we shall consider covenant between person to person.
Covenants could exists between two or more persons/party when they agreed on certain terms of the covenant.
Examples of person to person covenant
1. The Gibeon and the
children of Israel (Josh.9:15-27). The Gibeonite decieved Joshua and the people of God into covenant, yet God back such covenant because you don’t back out of covenant once it is made, rather you can only dissolve it the same way it was made.
So after many years when king Saul emerge as a king in Israel, he flouted the covenant and began to kill some of the Gibeonite. The power of covenant swing into action and there was famine in the land:
2 Samuel 21: 1. Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David inquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.
Beloved, this is a serious issue, that two community are in covenant, and when one person broke the terms of the covenant, the entire land suffered for it! Could that be the reason why some person by virtue of their affiliation to a community they suffered untold hardships?
Could it be that your community is one of a Covenant breaker and by extension there is famine in your life? This is a serious issues; if heaven withold his blessings over a nation because of broken covenant then it is possible for heaven to withhold the rain of blessing over individual lives for same reason.
There are so many persons who enter into a covenant with another person and back out at the middle of it! For example, If a man covenanted with his friend to start and run a business and the profits sharing is clearly spelt out.
Instead of running the business as agreed, he turn back and betrayed his friend, that is a typical example of covenant breaker! There is no way such business can receive heavenly blessing.
Another scenerio was the case of a man that raised you up and ordained you for ministry, you suddenly divided his congregation to start your own ministry and expect heaven to you up with his blessings!, That is another clear case of broken covenant.
Perhaps, your case was you agreed to marry a man while he trained you to higher institution and now you have graduated you feel he is no longer your class and as such you don’t want to marry him again! You have become a covenant breaker and heaven’s door is permitted to be close against you until you right your wrong.
Probably, your case is you agreed to marry a lady and the young lady said I have vow to give my virginity only to my husband and you agreed to be that husband and after you are done satisfying your sexual pleasure you decided to throw the lady away!
Or you put a lady in a family way and later denied it whereas you promised with an oath to marry her! Whatever she pronounce will catch up with any man that does such because he is a covenant breaker.
Oh probably you promised God to buy chairs, build house or buy a car for a man of God if God does A,B,C and after God bless you and grant you your desire, you even stop going to church neither did you pay your vow. You have also become a covenant breaker! This is what the Bible said:
Ecclesiastes 5: 5. Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay. 6. Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?
Beloved, the list is endless of people that collected money and never pay back as agreed yet they desire the blessing of God! Please understand today that God don’t bless covenant breaker!
Covenants breaking makes life difficult for so many children of God!
Remember this: Heaven is real and hell is real. The decision to spend eternity is best made now, give your heart to Jesus today.

– Father thank you for your word to me today.
– Father, I receive the grace not to be a covenant breaker in the name of Jesus.
Prophetic Declaration:
– I prophesy that evil spell of profitless toiling is broken right now in the name of Jesus.
– The power in the covenant blood of Jesus set you free today from every embarrassing conditions in the name of Jesus
