TOPIC: THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT- POWER GIFTS
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12: 4. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
1 Corinthians 12: 9. To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
Beloved, I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! Yesterday, we established that the outcome of the Holy Spirit at the river dimension is charismatic endowment known as the gifts of the Holy Spirit! We examine the revelation gifts of the Holy Spirit. Today, we shall be considering the power gifts.
Please, as a matter of fact, when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, there will be initial evidence of speaking in tongues that introduces you to the realm of the supernatural! The outcome is that the Holy Spirit brings in empowerment through the manifestation of charisma. These charisma are nine in number and are grouped into three- revelation, power and vocal gifts.
What are power gifts?
Power gifts are the operation of the Holy Spirit that empowers us to do something.
They are three in this category, they include:
I. Gift of faith or Special faith:. The gift of faith is a gift of the Holy Spirit to believers in order that he might receive miracles. It is quite different from general faith in that general faith comes by hearing the word of God of God (Rom.10:17) but this gift of faith is given by the Holy Spirit. This is why it is called special faith, because it is an operation of the Holy Spirit that is given to anyone as He wills(1Cor.12:7).
The Holy Spirit gives it to enable one receive a miracle beyond the capacity of general faith. This was the faith in operation when Daniel received the miracle of deliverance from the lions den(Dan.6:22-23). It was also in operation when the raven brought food to Elijah (1Kg.17:4-6). It operated in the life of Stephen as well.
II. The working of miracles (1Cor.12:10): It is the gift of the Holy Spirit given to a believer that he might work miracles.
What is a miracle?
Miracles are supernatural interventions by God in the ordinary course of nature.
So when a work is introduced that results in a miracle, that is the working of miracle. It is an operation of the Holy Spirit that enables one to perform miracles. It is different from special faith or the gift of faith in that it helps to receive miracles while working of miracle helps to give out miracles.
Jesus worked the miraculous while on earth and He desires everyone of us to do a greater one:
John 14: 12. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
This greater work is only possible when we are empowered by the Holy Spirit.
In the working of miracles the Lord permits a person to speak a word under the influence of the Holy Spirit and miracles occur as seen in the case of Jesus as He gave thanks and five loaves of bread fed 5,000 people(Jn.6:9-14).
Moses plagued the nation of Egypt to ensure the deliverance of God’s people (Exo.7:9-12). Iron head swam(2Kg.6:5-7). A widow’s pot of oil became a fountain of oil that provided sustenance for her and her sons (2Kg.4:1-7)
III. The gifts of healings(1Cor.12;9): It is the supernatural empowerment by the Holy Spirit to carry out healing. This is the only gift of the Holy Spirit that is in plural sense “gifts of healings” , probably due to the fact that there are several kinds of sicknesses and diseases.
Jesus manifested the gifts of healings;
Acts 10: 38. How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Beloved, the power gift is more needed now than ever before to be able to quell the recklessness of the devil. The gift of special faith is needed to receive a miracle, the gift of working of miracles to do a miracle and the gifts of healings to heal all manners of sickness and diseases.
Remember this; Heaven is real and hell is real! The decision of where to spend eternity is best made now.

– Father thank you for your word to me today.
– Lord, I’m available use me, let your power flow through me in the name of Jesus.
Prophetic Declaration:
– I prophesy the release of the anointing of the Holy Spirit for your empowerment this season in the name of Jesus.
– To everyone who is sick, I declare your healing right now by the anointing of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus.
