Introduction
- Prophetic scriptures are defined as the “more sure word of prophecy” – 2 Pet. 1:19-21
2 Peter 1:19-21
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
- They are prophetic words from the mouth of God Himself – Isa. 34:16
Isa 34:16
16 Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.
- God’s prophetic agenda for His Church and His people are as contained in scriptures – Isa. 29:11-12/ Act. 20:32

11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: 12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
- But to see prophetic words come to pass, we must receive, believe and put them to work – Jhn. 1:12/ Jam. 2:18

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
- We must continue to water the seed of the prophetic word in our good hearts with praise so as to bring forth fruits – Pro. 12:14/ Pro. 13:2/ Heb. 13:15

14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.

2 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.

What are Prophecies?
- Prophecies are not religious wishes but the unfolding of divine plan – Josh. 21:45

- God speaks according to what He can and will do if we believe – Isa. 14:24/ Luk. 1:45

24 The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
- Every prophetic word received and believed keeps believers on the go in season and out of season – 1 Cor. 9:24-27/ Hab. 2:1-3

24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.,25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Hab 2:1-3

How Praise facilitates fulfilment of Prophecies?
- Praise focuses on the efficacy of what is written and not what is happening – Psa. 56:4/10/ 1 Thes 5:18/24

4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. 10 In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word.

- All barriers to fulfilment of prophecies clear our path as we sustain God’s presence through praise – Psa. 114:1-7/ Psa. 22:3/ Act. 16:25-30

What are Prophecies?
- Prophecies carry in-built capacity for fulfillment – Isa. 55:10-11/ Luk. 1:34-35

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Luke 1:34-35
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
- God speaks according to His capacity, not our weakness – 2 Kgs. 7:1-2/19-20/ Jer. 32:17

- Every prophetic word received and believed ignites hope – Rom. 4:18/ Rom. 15:4

18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
How Praise facilitates fulfilment of Prophecies?
- We do not just to praise God for what has happened, but we are to praise God for things to happen – Luk. 17:17-19/ Psa. 67:5-7.

17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? 18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. 19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. 6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. 7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
- Praise secures return on our seed sown, which include our seed of time, energy and resources in soul winning, prayers and other kingdom advancement endeavours – Joel. 1:12/ Pro. 12:14/ Heb. 13:15

12 The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.

What are Prophecies?
- Prophecies are not predictions; they are sworn verdicts – Isa. 14:24

24 The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:
- God speaks according to His unlimited resources, not our insufficiency – Hag. 2:8/ Psa. 50:9-11/ Psa. 24:1

8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts.

9 I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds. 10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. 11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
- Every prophetic word received and believed engraces us for steadfastness in stewardship – 1 Cor. 15:58/ Phi. 1:21

How Praise facilitates fulfilment of Prophecies?
- Praise warfare is one way to provoke the God of vengeance to manifest Himself against all oppositions to fulfilment of prophecies in our lives – Deut. 2:24/ Psa. 149:6-7

24 Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.

- Wonders of fulfilment of prophecies are triggered by praise warfare–Exo. 15:11/ 2Chr. 20:14-17/22-24

What are Prophecies?
- Prophecies are divine plans ordained to be fulfilled in the life of whosever believes – Isa. 55:11/ Isa. 34:16

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

How Praise facilitates fulfilment of Prophecies?
- Praise is a covenant platform for encounter with fresh oil that facilitates fulfilment of prophecy – Psa. 92:1-2/10-12/ Isa. 45:1-3/ Isa. 61:3

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: 2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,

10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. 11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me. 12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Isa 45:1-3
Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; 2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: 3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
- Fearful praise subdues our enemies – Mat. 21:9-16/ Psa. 8:2

- Praise warfare is vital to destroying barriers on the path of fulfilment of prophecies – Psa. 149:1-7

Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. 2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. 3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. 4 For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. 5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
- Praise infuses strength, which empowers us for exploits – Psa. 100:4/ Psa. 84:7/ Dan. 11:32

4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

What are Prophecies?
- No human hand can fulfill a prophetic word – 1 Kgs 8:15/ Jhn 14:10

15 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it,
John 14:10
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
- God speaks according to what He will do as we believe – Gen. 22:17-18/ Isa. 14:24

17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

- Every prophetic word received and believed stimulates joy and rejoicing – Jer. 15:16/ Psa. 119:162

16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.

162 I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
How Praise facilitates fulfilment of Prophecies?
- When we give God high praise, we experience higher dimensions of favour– 2 Sam. 6:14/ Psa. 30:5-7

14 And David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.

5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. 6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved. 7 Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
- Praise provokes divine presence that secures our supernatural change of story – Psa. 22:3/ Zph. 3:17/19-20

What are Prophecies?
- God speaks according to His integrity, not our instability – Num. 23:19/ Mat. 24:35/ Heb. 6:15-18

19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. 17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: 18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
- Every prophetic word received and believed provokes bold declarations – Mat. 10:27/ 2 Cor. 4:13

- God speaks according to what He can do and not what we can do – Exo. 14:15/ Psa. 114:1-7

How Praise facilitates fulfilment of Prophecies?
- We can praise our way out of the valley into high places – Hab. 3:17-19/ Heb. 13:15

15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
