TOPIC: THE NATURE OF THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM (PART 2)
Scripture: Mark 6: 2. And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
Beloved I welcome you to another Moment of Daily Encounter! In continuation of what we started established yesterday about the nature of the Spirit of wisdom.
What exactly is the nature of this Spirit called wisdom?
1. It is a ministry of the Holy Spirit. So you can not ignore the Holy Spirit in your pursuit of this Spirit of wisdom.
2. It is a Spirit that is given by God and the Holy Spirit of God is in charge of its distribution.
3. The Spirit of wisdom is interested in those that are interested in her (Prov.8:17).
4. This Spirit of wisdom gives wisdom that is quite different from the wisdom of this world. Our Lord Jesus Christ display such high level of wisdom, this explains why His life was characterized with such mighty works!
Another point we mentioned yesterday was when Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit He began to manifest wisdom such that the religious leaders of his days began to ask questions what wisdom is this?
They couldn’t understand that wisdom is a Spirit that is given by the Holy Spirit! And that led us to ask ourselves question what kind of wisdom are we parading? And we have the answer as we look at our lives in reference to the Bible!
For the Bible present to us two large groups of wisdom, which are earthly or worldly wisdom and heavenly wisdom.
Two Categories of wisdom;
A. Worldly or earthly wisdom (For details of earthly wisdom, check yesterday meditation here)
B. Heavenly or Divine wisdom ;
It is Wisdom from above which is also called Divine Wisdom. This the kind of wisdom that God gives.
Features of heavenly wisdom;
According to the scripture:
James 3: 17. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
The wisdom from above has the following characteristics :
1. It is pure (Jam.3:17): It is not dirty, it is clean and wholesome. There is no iniquity in it, it does not operate to fall another man. It doesn’t schemes to outshine others while he is the only super stars.
2. It is peaceful(Jam.3:17) : Opposite to that of earthly wisdom, that breed quarrel, fighting and lack of peace that is sponsor by selfishness and self-centeredness. Rather it seek for peace. This is what runs a peaceful homes.
3. It is gentle (Jam.3:17) : It is not harsh, or treat people without a care. Treating people with gentleness is not a sign of weakness rather wisdom which is also a fruit of the Holy Spirit. When you treat people with a memory of feeling good the day they met you is far better than they are regretting of ever met you in life. Treat people with gentleness such that they don’t feel bad or reduce when they met you.
4. It is considerate (Jam.3:17): It consider the other person before acting, it doesn’t consider himself alone. To be considerate is wisdom from above. Don’t look at issues from selfish point of view where once your interest is protected others can go to hell.
5. It is submissive (Jam.3:17) : It can submit to authority, easy to go bye unlike the earthly wisdom that is full of pride and arrogancy. Infact, if you are looking for arrogant men it is among the intellectuals men with Sophia kind of wisdom.
6. Without partiality or hypocrisy (Jam.3:17) : If you see where people are showing tribalism in the church earthly wisdom is at work there. People who acts along cultural line or political divide is not operating the wisdom of God. The wisdom from above hate nepotism, tribalism and hypocrisy.
Beloved, there is no need to parade earthly or devilish wisdom when you can access the geniue wisdom from above.
Why parading the fake when genuine wisdom is available for you in Christ Jesus?
It is time to seek for that wisdom from above that is the wisdom we shall be considering all through this month because that is what guarantee victory.
Remember this; Heaven is real and hell is real. The decision of where to spend eternity begins now. Give your heart to Jesus today
Prayer points:
– Father thank you for your word to me today.
– Lord, I opened my heart let your Holy Spirit fills me with this wisdom from above in the name of Jesus.
Prophetic Declaration:
– I prophesy the wisdom from above that is meant for excelling life comes upon you right now in the name of Jesus.
– The wisdom meant for mighty works is coming upon you now in Jesus name.
Today wisdom capsule 💊, 💊, is the Spirit of wisdom is what makes you do the right thing at the right time that leaves men dumbfounded!
