Topic: THE EXPECTED CHRIST OUR MESSIAH
Text: John 4:24-25. John 1:41-42.
– Wherever God is present, there are always blessings.
– Man lost his place with God because of sin.
– Jesus came as the Saviour and Messiah, to bring man back into the Blessing of God.
John 4:25-26. The Woman at the Well:
1. Revelation – The Messiah revealed Himself as the Messiah.
2. Recognition – It is something for you to have the revelation, it is another thing to have recognition that the expected One has come.
3. Redemption – Christ who revealed Himself to the woman came with redemption for humanity.
Therefore, the woman left her water pot and ran to the city to tell everyone that the expected Messiah had come.
John 1:41-42. Simon Peter:
As Peter came to Christ, Jesus looked at him – when Jesus looks at you, He sees your past, present and future. He sees what you have been, what He will make of you now and in the future. He x-rays you. Church Gist. He knew that all we lost in Adam would be restored to us through him. Christ called Peter Cephas, a stone because He knew what he would be in the future. Accepting Christ brings salvation and redemption to all humanity.
