WHEN (KENNETH) HAGIN BEGAN PREACHING THE WORD OF FAITH, IT WAS LIKE AN ABERRATION
HE WAS CONSTANT IN AND OUT OF SEASON AND WAS STILL OUT PREACHING IN CANADA 2 WEEKS BEFORE HE PASSED
PAST TENSE STEWARDSHIP HOLDS NO WATER WITH GOD
HIS BLESSINGS STOP WHERE OUR SERVICE STOPS
WHEN YOU ARE OUT OF SERVICE IN THE KINGDOM, WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE WOULD BE DROPS OF MERCY THERE WOULD BE NO SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS
EVERYBODY NEEDS THE SPIRIT OF SERVANTHOOD NOT TO SUFFER A CRASH IN THE JOURNEY
– Bishop David Oyedepo on ENGAGING THE HELP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT 5 at Midweek Communion Service LFC Canaanland 18th October 2023 || Part B
2. To keep us going in season and out of season in our Stewardship. 2nd Timothy 4:2. When Hagin began preaching the Word of Faith, it was like an aberration. He told one of the stories, he was in a meeting and everybody went out one by one, it was remaining him and the host Pastor who invited him. Hagin was still preaching, he said the Pastor moved and said ‘Sir can we close this service.’ In season and out of season.
He was ministering one day and somebody went straight up there and smoked and blew it on his face. What keeps you going is when that Spirit is actively at work in you. When the Lord spoke to me that he was going to heaven, we rushed down to the U.S. He was not home, he was in Canada on his Faith Crusade…that was 2 weeks from the time he went to heaven. The spirit of Servanthood keeps you going in season and out of season.
– We shall all end well.
3. To occupy till Jesus comes so we can secure our full rewards. Matthew 24:45-47. It takes that Spirit to occupy in your stewardship till He comes. Luke 19:13.
No downtime, what’s happening around you notwithstanding, it keeps you going.
Past tense engagement holds no value to God.
‘I used to’ never counts with God. Ezekiel 18:24-27. Past tense stewardship holds no water with God. We need the Spirit of Servanthood to keep going in season and out of season. Interestingly we saw how Abraham was called at age 75, he went to heaven at age 175 and there was no break. Genesis 22:4-10. Genesis 24:1. The blessings stop when service stops. Exodus 23:25. When you stop serving, stop expecting the blessing. Abraham succeeded for 100 years.
– We shall succeed.
Genesis 12:4. Genesis 25:7-8. He left in Obedience to God’s command at age 75, he lived to be 175…and we saw him at age 114 with his son on the altar. We saw how he came under a sworn blessing, he was still active and God kept blessing him. Genesis 24:1. As I mentioned, blessing stops where stewardship stops. If you’re out of service in any organization, your salary would stop, feeding benefits would stop, allowances would stop, and everything stops where your service stops. People are crying to God for nothing.
Can you pray now to get on Covenant University’s payroll?
“I’m a bonafide member of this Church, in the name of Jesus, I get on that payroll now, right now I command everybody to line up from Chancellor to everyone, line up in the name of Jesus, If I ask anything, it shall be done…” That won’t be done because you are not in service there, you can’t by mistake get on that payroll.
Please understand me, when you are out of service in the Kingdom, forget it.
What you have would be drops of Mercy but for showers of blessings, No!
That’s why we need the spirit of Stewardship, not being a staff of a Church or being a founder of a ministry but serving God as a servant.
King Asa led a massive revival but missed his steps after 20 years, he became an oppressor and died of a plague.
This man was strong in his followership of God that he removed his mother from being queen to please God, he cleared all abominations from the land of Judea…and God gave them rest all around and suddenly he turned his back and God also turned His back on him.
– May God not turn his back on any one of us.
2nd Chronicles 15:7-10,15. 2nd Chronicles 16:1-9. 1st Kings 8:20. 1st Kings 11:14,23,25.
– May we not suffer a negative switch in our lives.
Acts 13:21. 2nd Chronicles 26:3-6,14-16. Everybody needs this Spirit to keep going to the end of time. Everybody needs the Spirit of Servanthood not to suffer a crash in the journey.
– Your days of marvelous help are here.
You can’t tell how many people in the body of Christ today, members, pastors and founders who are Victims of pride of the heart. 2nd Chronicles 26:16-19. After enjoying marvelous help from God for 52 years he(Uzziah) died of Leprosy.
– Nobody would suffer a crash.
We need the Spirit of stewardship to keep going. 2nd Chronicles 26:17-21. After 52 years of walking with Jesus.
– We shall all make it to the end.
