Femi Otedola donates N1million each to 750 students of Augustine University as he is made Chancellor of the institution.
Femi Otedola donated a total of seven hundred and fifty million Naira to all the students of Augustine University in Ilara Epe, Lagos State in an amazing goodwill gesture.
The business mogul and philanthropist was officially inaugurated as the Chancellor of the institution today, Oct. 26.
Dr Alfred Adewale Martins, the Catholic Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Lagos, was present for Otedola’s inauguration, which took place during the 5th Convocation ceremony of Augustine University.
After his inauguration, Otedola donated N1million each to 750 students of Augustine University to “assists the plight of the parents of our students in this difficult time.”
The Visioner of the University, His Eminence, Anthony Cardinal Olubunmi Okogie, who until August 2012, was the Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos nursed the idea of establishing the University. He has since been succeeded by Most Rev. Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins.
The Archbishop & Metropolitan of the See of Lagos, Most Reverend Dr. Alfred Adewale Martins is the current Proprietor and Visitor to the University.
